Introduced in 1959, this clip-on photoelectric shutter gave auto exposure capabilities to Models 95A/95B, the One Hundred, 150, 160, The 700 and 800. Intended for use with Type 47 3000 ASA film only, the #440 was easily attached to the camera and set the shutter to B (Bulb) taking over as an external shutter. The selenium photocell moved a paddle controlling the pneumatic damping of the shutter thereby adjusting shutter speeds from approx. 1/10sec to 1/800sec. This shutter technology made possible the J66 and J33 models. $39.95 at launch
