Focorect supplementary focusing lens, with integral coupled rangefinder, made by Hermann Schneider & Co., of Hamburg Germany in the 1950's, to fit on original Model 95 series (and The One Hundred). It is presumed that Geiss was the American distributor/importer. A cam fitted to the rotating lens mount activated the rangefinder through a spring-loaded ball bearing. This accessory was available for a range of cameras offering close-up focus for those with limited close-focus. Here the supplementary lens provides an ingenious way to add full focus function to the original fixed focus Polaroid cameras. The telescopic screw clamps the Focorect over the lens mount.
