Tell Tale and packet

Originally featured in the article "Your Camera in Atomic Disaster" in the April 1951 issue of Polaroid's Minute Man, the Tell Tale was a free accessory fitted inside the camera to detect the radiation of an atomic blast.

The tiny white chip "contains a special material which glows when struck by radiation". This was fitted close to the film inside the camera at the edge of the bellows plate where the lens was fixed to the camera front plate. It was intended to be exposed when the cameras was closed.
